Server Transfer
Overview
Server Transfer lets you move a server's ownership from your FlashPanel account to another account. Use this page to create a transfer request, review requests you have sent or received, and respond to pending requests.
Transfer a Server
- Open the Server Transfer page (the Server Transfer item in the left menu).
- Click Transfer Server.
- Select the server you want to transfer. Servers that already have a pending request are not listed.
- Enter the recipient's account email address in the Email receiving server field.
- Review the information, then click Transfer Server.
The recipient receives a request and must approve it before ownership changes.
Review Transfer Requests
The page shows all transfer requests in one list. Use the filters above the table to focus on:
- All: every request you have sent or received.
- Received: requests sent to you.
- Sent: requests you sent to another account.
Each request shows the transfer direction (received or sent), server name, the other account, status, and creation time. Click the Reload icon to refresh the list.
Approve or Reject a Received Request
- Open the Server Transfer page.
- Select Received to find incoming requests.
- Find the request with the PENDING status.
- Click Approve to accept the server, or Reject to decline it.
- Enter the server name in the confirmation dialog, then confirm the action.
After you approve the request, you become the server owner and can manage it from your account. The server's websites, databases, and cron jobs are also moved to your account.
Cancel a Sent Request
- Select Sent to view requests you created.
- Find the request with the PENDING status.
- Click Cancel.
- Enter the server name in the confirmation dialog, then confirm the cancellation.
Notes and Warnings
- Important: Ownership changes only after the recipient approves the request.
- Eligibility: The recipient must already have a FlashPanel account with the email you entered, and their current number of servers must be below the server limit of their plan (this also applies to the free plan).
- Pending request: You cannot create another transfer request for the same server while a request is pending.
- Confirmation: Approving, rejecting, or cancelling a request requires you to enter the server name. Check the server name carefully before confirming.
- Time limit: A transfer request is only valid for about 15 minutes. After that, an unanswered request is cancelled automatically (status CANCELLED) and you need to create a new one. Let the recipient know in advance so they can respond in time.
